Hawkes Bay Flood Recovery badge

In February 2023, Cyclone Gabrielle caused severe flooding throughout much of the North Island, especially in Hawkes Bay. The Weka Point Scout Campsite was one of the many places flooded. An appeal was started to raise funds for the repair of the historic campsite at Rissington inland from Napier. Belgique Badges have contributed to this recovery by making badges for some local scouts who then sold them as a fundraiser. (Proceeds from this year’s Anzac Day badges have also been donated to the Rissington community for the upkeep of their new Soldiers’ Memorial).

Three runs of Hawkes Bay Flood Recovery badges have been supplied this year due to demand. If you would like to acquire a badge and thus contribute to the flood recovery fund, please contact: hikeaholic@outlook.com

Belgique Badges is happy to support local community projects.
