King’s Coronation badge

It’s not every year we get asked to make a badge for a coronation.  A local community group approached us to make an order of badges featuring the coronation logo, which they are now distributing throughout New Zealand.

The official emblem celebrates the coronation of His Majesty King Charles III on 6 May 2023.  The emblem pays tribute to the King’s love of the natural world, unifying the flora of the four nations of the United Kingdom; the rose of England, the thistle of Scotland, the daffodil of Wales and the shamrock of Northern Ireland. Together, the flowers create the shape of St Edward’s Crown, used for the coronation of British monarchs.

The emblem, which is freely available to use, has been designed using the red, white and blue of the union flag.
