Laser-cut badge made for Venturer Scout national event

Yesterday we visited the site of the second phase of the 15th New Zealand Venture at Mayfield, Mid-Canterbury.

This event is for Venturer Scouts (aged 15-18) with activities taking place around the central South Island over 10 days.  About 850 Venturers and Leaders are participating, including a few hundred from Australia.

Belgique Badges was asked to manufacture the official badge for this national scout event, where the shape of the badge had to be the same shape as the design.  This was achieved by making the woven badges with a laser-cut edge.  Making such badges with an unconventional shape is possible, although they aren’t the easiest to sewn onto a shirt or blanket!
